Experience Uganda’s Ultimate Wildlife & Primate Safari

This carefully designed safari takes you through Uganda’s most celebrated national parks and conservation areas. From tracking rhinos on foot and cruising the mighty Nile to standing just metres away from endangered mountain gorillas, each day offers a unique adventure and unforgettable encounters with nature. Prepare to experience Uganda’s incredible biodiversity, welcoming communities, and spectacular scenery from beginning to end.

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Welcome to the Pearl of Africa

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional MJ Safaris Uganda guide and transferred to your hotel.

Depending on your arrival time, relax after your journey or enjoy a brief introduction to Uganda as your guide briefs you on the exciting adventure ahead.

Day 2: Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary & Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, depart for Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest national park.

En route, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an exciting guided rhino tracking experience on foot. This sanctuary is the only place in Uganda where wild rhinos can be seen.

Continue north to Murchison Falls National Park, visiting the spectacular Top of the Falls where the River Nile squeezes through a narrow seven-metre gorge before plunging into the gorge below.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive & Nile Boat Cruise

Rise early for an exciting game drive across the northern savannah in search of:

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Spend the evening relaxing at your lodge surrounded by tropical rainforest.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary

Today begins with an unforgettable chimpanzee trekking experience in Kibale Forest.

In the afternoon, enjoy a guided nature walk through Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, renowned for its birdlife, monkeys, butterflies, and community-based conservation initiatives.

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking Experience

Today’s highlight is the once-in-a-lifetime mountain gorilla trekking adventure.

Following a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers, venture deep into Bwindi’s ancient rainforest to search for one of the habituated gorilla families.

Once located, you’ll spend one unforgettable hour observing these magnificent primates in their natural habitat.

In the afternoon, enjoy an optional community visit or guided forest nature walk.

Day 10: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Spend the evening relaxing at your lodge overlooking the park.

Day 12: Return to Entebbe – Departure

After breakfast, begin your journey back to Entebbe.
