Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Uganda

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide before being transferred to your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe. Depending on your arrival time, relax at the hotel and prepare for the exciting safari ahead.

Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park

After an early breakfast, depart Kampala and drive north-west through the famous Luwero Triangle toward Murchison Falls National Park.

Optional stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided rhino tracking experience before continuing through Masindi for lunch.

Later visit the spectacular Top of the Falls where the mighty Nile squeezes through a narrow 7-metre gorge before plunging 43 metres below, creating one of Africa’s most dramatic waterfalls.

Day 3: Game Drive & Nile Boat Cruise

Begin the day with an early morning game drive across the northern plains of Murchison Falls National Park.

Day 4: Scenic Transfer to Fort Portal

After breakfast, journey southwest through the Albertine Rift Valley and picturesque countryside toward Fort Portal, one of Uganda’s most beautiful towns, lying beneath the legendary Rwenzori Mountains.

The drive offers spectacular scenery, tea plantations and rural villages.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Enjoy a game drive en route to your lodge before relaxing over lunch.

Later in the afternoon, embark on the famous Kazinga Channel boat cruise, renowned for its enormous concentrations of hippos, crocodiles, elephants and water birds.

Finish the day with an evening drive through the scenic crater lakes region.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kyambura Gorge

Enjoy an early morning game drive before breakfast.

Later head to Kyambura Gorge for an exciting chimpanzee trekking experience led by experienced park rangers.

Day 7: Tree-Climbing Lions & Transfer to Bwindi

After breakfast, drive south through the Ishasha Sector, famous for its rare tree-climbing lions.

Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Today is one of Africa’s greatest wildlife experiences.

Following a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers, enter the dense rainforest in search of one of Bwindi’s mountain gorilla families.

Spend one unforgettable hour observing these magnificent primates in their natural habitat.

After the trek, drive through Kabale’s scenic terraced hills to beautiful Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 9: Lake Bunyonyi Excursion & Transfer to Rwanda
