Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide.
After a short safari briefing, begin your scenic drive north towards Volcanoes National Park, located in Rwanda’s spectacular Virunga Mountains. Along the way, enjoy stunning views of rolling green hills, terraced farms, and picturesque rural villages that have earned Rwanda its nickname, The Land of a Thousand Hills.
Arrive at your lodge in Kinigi during the afternoon, where you can relax and prepare for the following day’s gorilla trekking adventure.

After an early breakfast, transfer to the Volcanoes National Park Headquarters for registration and a detailed briefing by the park rangers.
You will be assigned to a small group of no more than eight visitors and guided into the rainforest in search of one of the habituated mountain gorilla families.
The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 8 hours, depending on the gorillas’ location. Once found, you will spend one unforgettable hour observing these magnificent primates as they feed, interact, groom one another, and care for their young.
After your trek, return to the lodge for lunch before driving back to Kigali.
Depending on your flight schedule, you may either transfer directly to Kigali International Airport or enjoy an optional Kigali city tour before your departure.
